Saving energy is not always free.Today I had noticed that the blue indicator light is blinking and it is preventing me from turning on the light manual or through the smart app. So far I have tried to reset the breaker, pull the air gap and to exclude it from the network. Oh just one last thing I tried, I reboot the hub and it now says the device is online but the issue still exists. This is not a SmartThings issue. Your switch has died. This just happened to almost every switch in my house.

Do I physically have to replace all of them? No LED no power, nothing. For the rest, they absolutely would not join. Sounds like to me that you have something else going on if that many switches are having problems. So I actually contacted Jasco and they had me return my switch at Lowes. It was indeed dead and there was no way to get it working again. I have a GE switch that appears to have kicked the bucket as well.

About a year old, maybe a bit more. No blue light, flipping the breaker, pulling the air gap… nothing works. I checked the bulbs and they are good so I guess, it just died. Just had the same issue with two ZW ver 3. They became unresponsive after the power company interrupted the power at the transformer.

I was not able to recover them. I had installed these switches for customer in March Just contacted Jasco and there were no replacement options for the switches being that they were beyond the 2 year warranty.

This turns the lights off, but it also cuts power to the light switch and light fixture entirely. So why is a feature like this necessary? Instead, you can just cut power to the light fixture. Of course, most people change out bulbs while the power to the fixture is still turned on which is true even when you turn off the lights at the switch.

Your One-Stop Lutron Caséta Troubleshooting Guide

Want to know more?It only takes a minute to sign up. Whenever I flip on my dimmer switch, all four dimmable LED lamps flash on in unison, blink off, and then come on at the selected dim level. This happens even with the dimmer slider maxed out, so it's not a matter of trying to drive the lamps with too little power, which I know can cause flashing and flickering. The flashing happens only on cold start, by which I mean, if I've just turned off the lamps and then flip them back on, they come on directly with no flash.

Wait just a few seconds after flipping them off - a bit past the time they take to completely stop emitting light - and they will flash when you flip the switch back on again. I don't know what could be causing this particular failure mode, so I don't know where to start debugging this problem. For what it's worth, I first noticed this behavior when testing after wiring in the third lamp. When only two were wired in, no flashing was apparent. I have a Lutron Diva CL 3-way dimmer.

Each of my LED lamps draws only This is well within the operating range of the dimmer. ETA: I still would like to know why I saw this behavior, but the problem appears to have been the dimmer. I then swapped in another instance of the same model.

Though the sticker on the side gave a different hardware rev, and the assembly location was St. Kitt's rather than China. The new dimmer caused no flash on power-on, but it couldn't dim the LEDs nearly as low as the first instance. As I don't know the interns of this dimmer it might switch when the alternating voltage and therefore the current with resistive loads crosses zero.

Chloromethane polar or nonpolar

To detect the type of load it has to observe the mains line for a short period of time without regulating it. The issue does not occur on light loads because most dimmers can handle inductive, capacitive and resistive loads quite well on low power levels.

By letting the dimmer "cool down" you may erase its short term memory so it has to resynchronize every time you switch it on.

Again: As the internals of this dimmer or better: the two are not known I can't provide a better answer. A newer hardware revision usually improves the product. I know this is an old thread, but I recently had this problem myself.

Ended up being because of cheap bulbs. I have two of the same dimmers, one works fine, the other would flash once every time before turning on. Guess not all dimmable bulbs are made equal. Hope this helps someone. Can this product work with both Wink Hubs?
